How to Make a Consumer Firework Display

How to Make a Consumer Firework Display thumbnail
A consumer firework display can be used to display many kinds of fireworks.

Advertise fireworks for easy browsing by building a consumer firework display. A firework display is a stand that has shelves used for holding various types and packages of fireworks. The bottom shelf is wider than the middle, and the middle is wider than the top. This arrangement of shelves allows for heavier or bulky items to be stored lower. Build a consumer display like this using plywood for your sides and melamine for your shelves. Melamine is a vinyl-covered particle board that is often used for retail shelving.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay your plywood flat so the 30-inch edges are horizontal. Draw a diagonal line across the the plywood starting 10 inches away from the top left corner and ending 10 inches away from the bottom right corner. Cut along this line with your jigsaw. These are the sides to your firework display.

    • 2

Position the sides on their 20-inch edges so they are parallel, 50 inches apart and so the longest edges are aligned. Lay the 20-by-50-inch melamine between the sides so the edges are flush. Screw through the sides using six screws. This is your bottom shelf.

    • 3

Hold the 15-by-50-inch melamine between the sides so it is 19 inches above the lower melamine. Screw through the sides and into this shelf. Screw the sides to the 10-by-50-inch melamine so it is flush with the top edges of the sides.

    • 4

Position the 51-inch plywood against the 40-inch edges of the sides so the edges are flush. Screw the plywood to the edges of the melamine boards using four screws for each board. This is the back to your display.
