A light in your miniature church adds festive appeal.

Miniature churches provide adorable decorations for a home. You can display them alone on a shelf or as part of a village in a holiday display. While some miniature churches are completely solid, others are hollow. If your tiny church has windows, adding a light creates a festive touch that adds to the realism of the miniature building. Instructions

    • 1

Mark an "X" on the bottom center of your miniature church with a pencil.

    • 2

Drill a hole in the bottom of the miniature church with a circle or masonry drill bit. Use a drill bit with a circumference that's slightly wider than your light. If your church is made from ceramics instead of wood, use a tile bit on a slow speed and create enough holes to form one big one.

    • 3

Turn on a battery-operated pumpkin light, which resembles the size and shape of a tea light candle. Place the light where you plan to keep the miniature church.

    • 4

Place the hole on the bottom of the miniature church over the pumpkin light to see the building light up.

Tips & Warnings

  • Using a battery-operated light instead of a plug-in light allows the church bottom to lay flat against the table or shelf without a cord interfering.
