How to Fold a Balloon Flower
Balloon flowers are made using two inflated long, thin balloons. One balloon is folded and twisted to form the petals. The second balloon is twisted to form a stem with leaves. Finally, the two balloons are joined together to create a daisy-like flower. Balloon flowers are simple to make and can be made by balloon artists who are just beginners. Make balloon flowers for special occasions such as a children's birthday party or just for fun.

1
Choose one long, thin balloon that is the color you want the flower petals to be. Inflate the balloon, leaving 1-2 inches uninflated at its end. Tie an overhand knot in the open end of the balloon.
-
2
Bend the balloon into a circle so that the ends are touching. Grasp the knotted end and the uninflated end and twist them together three or four times to join.

3
Bend the circle in half so the knotted portion is touching the center point of the opposite side. Bend the balloon in half a second time at the point where the knot is touching the opposite side. Grasp the folded balloon in both hands and twist it two or three times in the center to create four flower petals.

4
Inflate one long, thin green balloon leaving a 1-2-inch portion at the end uninflated. Tie a knot in the open end to close the balloon.
-
5
Fold the center of the balloon back on itself two times to create an "S" shape in the balloon. Grasp the folded portion in both hands and twist the center of all three layers together two or three times. Adjust the twists so the smaller loops, or leaves, are on either side of the longer portions, or stem.
-
6
Make a twist in the end of the stem without the knot, 2-3 inches below the end to create a bubble. Slip the bubble through the center of the flower petals to join the parts of the flower together.
