How to Make a Survey on Facebook

You cannot restrict friends of friends from seeing your question.

Facebook questions is a feature designed to let you survey your friends on just about any topic. Once your friends respond to your polling question, a story appears on their walls, and is visible to anyone who sees their profiles. Anyone who views your survey question is able to answer it, so if many of your friends answer your question, it has the potential to be answered by many members of the Facebook community.

Instructions

1. Point your Internet browser to the Facebook homepage and click the "Question" icon in the "Share" toolbar just above the news feed.

2. Enter your survey question in the "Learn from your friends and others" field.

3. Click the blue "Add Poll Options" link just under your question. Enter at least three possible answers to your question. If you want respondents to be allowed to add their own answer, check the box next to "Allow anyone to add options."

4. Click the blue "Ask Question" button at the bottom of the poll window.
