How to Graph a Template
Templates are excellent teaching tools, when working with students who are new to graphing. You may download templates from reputable websites or purchase them from educational publishers and may give them to students for data inputting procedures. Templates allow students to see how graphs of data change as X and Y values change, and thus, give them a valuable introduction to the principles of graphing.

1
Download the template of interest. For instance, if teaching your students about bar graphs, you might want to use a template that graphs different kinds of fruits against the number of people who prefer the fruits. The template will have a table of data and a bar graph that will change as you change the data.
-
2
Show your students how to input different numbers in the "Number of People" column.

-
3
Observe the graph. The different bars will go up and down as the number of people recorded in the table change.
