How to Tie a Man's Ponytail

Pulling hair into a ponytail is a simple solution to styling problems. It's quick, easy, and most men with long hair can pull this look off. Keep the ponytail neat to avoid looking too young or informal.

Things You'll Need

• Hairbrush
• Hair gel
• Hair elastic

Instructions

1. Wash and dry hair as you normally would. A ponytail will look nicer with clean hair. Brush your hair thoroughly to ensure it's tangle-free.

2. Rub a small, dime-sized amount of styling gel into your hair, using both hands to distribute evenly.

3. Brush hair into a ponytail, brushing over the head and around the sides and gathering the hair as you brush. The ponytail should sit low, right at the base of the neck.

4. Secure the ponytail with a hair elastic. Dab gel over any flyaways and smooth the hair down.
