How to Use Windows 7 with Pro Tools Boom

Boom is a drum machine sampler developed for the Pro Tools suite for Windows 7 and Mac OS X. Pro Tools is the industry standard music production tool for creating, sequencing, producing and mastering. Pro Tools Boom is a sampler-based drum machine that features a lot of configurable options, but its basic operation is much like other samplers.

      In Pro Tools, right-click an instrument track, and then select "Multichannel plugin," "Instrument" and "Boom."

      Right-click "Presets," and then select a different groove. It will begin to play. Right-click "Presets" again, and explore different grooves.

      Click the numbered button along the bottom to add that drum sound to each pattern.

      Click the "Drum Kit" set, and choose a new drum kit from the list.

      Click the second row of "Pattern" to insert the second row of the pattern. Click "Play" to play your sample.
