QR codes have become popular around the world, allowing promoters and artists to provide access to their material to people with smartphones and other QR code reading devices. There are a number of QR code generating applications available on the Web, offering a whole assortment of options. While Qurify's code generator only generates codes of text, Kaywa's QR code generator is capable of making codes for hyperlinks and phone numbers. QR Stuff generates codes for an even greater assortment of content types, including calendar events, PayPal Buy Now links and iTunes links.

Kaywa QR Code Generator

  • Go online to Kaywa's QR code generator (qrcode.kaywa.com).

  • Click the option button beside the content type you would like to generate a code for in the right menu.

  • Type the content you want to generate a code for in the content text field.

  • Select the size of the QR code you want to generate using the "Size" drop-down menu.

  • Click the "Generate" button to generate the QR code. The QR code appears to the left of the menu.

  • Click the QR code in the left to open the image in a new window. Click "File" in the menu bar of your Web browser's application window, select "Save" and choose a location to save the image to your computer for later use.

Qurify QR Code Generator

  • Go online to Qurify's QR code generator (qurify.com).

  • Type the text you want to generate into a QR code in the content text field.

  • Click "Qurify" to generate the QR code.

  • Click "Download (PNG File)" or "Download (JPG File)" depending on the file type you prefer. The file downloads to your computer's hard drive.

QR Stuff QR Code Generator

  • Go online to QR Stuff's QR code generator (qurstuff.com).

  • Click the option button beside the content type you want to generate into a QR code in the first column, furthest to the left.

  • Submit the content in the second column's text field.

  • Submit a HEX code in the third column's text field to select a background color. If you are unsure what HEX code to use, simply use the color box to select a background color.

  • Click the output type you prefer in the row along the bottom of the interface. For instance, if you want to print your QR code, click "Print Out Your Code." Follow the prompts provided by the output type you selected to finalize the QR code generation.
