Firefox Crashes When Right-Clicking

Firefox is an Internet browser used to view websites and interact with content on the Internet. Crashes are often caused by incompatibilities with Firefox add-ons. You can troubleshoot your browser by launching Firefox in Safe Mode and disabling all of your add-ons. By testing each add-on, you can determine which add-on is causing the issue and disable it.

Instructions

    • 1

      Close your Firefox browser.

    • 2

Click the "Start" button, then type "firefox -safe-mode" in the search text box and press the "Enter" key.

    • 3

Place a check in the box next to "Disable all add-ons," then click the "Continue in Safe Mode" button.

    • 4

Press the "Alt" key on your keyboard, click the "Tools" menu, then click "Add-ons" to launch the add-on window.

    • 5

Click "Extensions" from the left window to see a list of your add-ons.

    • 6

Click the "Enable" button next to the first add-on, then right-click to determine if Firefox crashes.

    • 7

Continue to do this until you find the add-on that is causing the crash.

    • 8

Click "Disable" next to the add-on that causes the issue. You can leave it disabled if you would like to wait to see if the add-on will get an update or you can click "Remove" if you want to completely remove the add-on from your browser.

    • 9

Restart your Firefox browser in normal mode.
