How to End a Straight Loom
Knitting looms are used by knitters to create projects quickly and with ease. Like knitting with needles, yarn is cast on, knitted and bound off. To end a straight loom, binding off may be performed in a number of ways, but the most common method is known as the crochet bind-off. This method is also known as an open bind-off and requires a crochet hook to complete.

1
Begin at the opposite end from where you completed the body of your knitting. Insert the crochet hook into the top loop, and pull it off the loom.
-
2
Insert the crochet hook into the next loop, pulling the loop onto the hook.

-
3
Pull the second loop through the first to create a single chain crochet stitch.
-
4
Continue with the chain step pattern, pulling loops off the loom one by one and adding each to the chain.

5
Cut the yarn about 4 inches from the end with scissors when the last loop is crocheted, and pull the yarn through the last loop to secure. Weave the tail end into the finished piece to complete ending the straight loom.
