Tutorial on How to Embed in Picasa in Google Earth thumbnail
Add location data to your Picasa photos using Google Earth.

You can embed location data in your Picasa photos using the Google Earth virtual globe software. The Picasa photo management software connects directly to Google Earth to give you a simple drag-and-drop interface for geo-tagging your photo collection. Once location data is embedded, you can display your photos on an interactive map and the location data will be available for photos you upload to Web-based photo sharing websites, including Flickr and Picasa Web.

Instructions

    • 1

Click "Start," type "Picasa" in the search box at the bottom of the menu, and then press "Enter."

    • 2

Select a photo album, and then click the "Geo-tag" button in the bottom toolbar. This will launch Google Earth.

    • 3

Enter the location you want to embed in your photos in the search box in the left sidebar, and press "Enter."

    • 4

Drag the crosshair to the exact location using the zoom and navigation controls, and then click "Geo-tag" to embed the location in an individual photo or "Geo-tag all" to embed the location in all photos from the selected album.

    • 5

Click "Done," and then "Yes" to save and embed the location data in your photos.
