How to Beat Grow Bugs in "Evolution"

"Evolution" is a free, browser-based game that revolves around breeding, raising and selling rare beetles. When the game starts, the player only has two beetles, but as they mature, he can breed them each other, resulting in beetles with potentially evolved characteristics. The game also features achievement challenges, including growing beetles to unnatural sizes. To beat this challenge, the player must utilize beetle drugs, which encourage growth at the expense of the bug's health. Balancing the application of growth stimulants and rest periods is essential for the beetle's survival.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on the shopping cart icon in the lower-left corner of the screen. This takes you to the bug mart, where you can purchase goods from both the cashiers and the customers.

    • 2

Click on the cashier or on one of the customers with a dollar sign over his head. A menu appears listing what items he has for sale.

    • 3

Purchase growth stimulant drugs, which come in red and yellow capsules. If the person you're trying to buy from doesn't have growth stimulant drugs, click on somebody else, instead. Eventually you'll encounter somebody who's selling them.

    • 4

Return to your beetle terrarium by clicking on the home button in the lower-left corner of the screen. Click on the drug button in the lower-right corner of the screen to drop a stimulant in the cage.

    • 5

Drag and drop a beetle onto the stimulant. He will begin eating it. Keep your mouse over him to ensure that his health doesn't drop below 25 percent. If it does, immediately drag and drop him away from the drug.

    • 6

Wait for the beetle's health to return to full, and then drag and drop him onto the drug again. Keep doing this until your beetle has grown to the desired size or until the drug disappears.
