Instructions

      Make the foundation chain. Make a slip knot and then make chain stitches in a multiple of four plus two such as 26 chain stitches.

      Work Row 1. Make a single crochet, chain two and four double crochet in the second chain from the hook. Skip three chain stitches and make a single crochet, chain two and four double crochet in the next chain stitch. Repeat across to within the last four chain stitches, skip next three chain stitches and single crochet in the last stitch.

      Work Row 2. Chain three, and turn. Make two double crochet in the first stitch. Skip the next four double crochet and make single crochet, chain two and four double crochet in the next chain two space. Repeat across to within last chain two space. Single crochet in last chain two space.

      Work the subsequent rows. Repeat Row 2 for pattern until piece reaches desired length. Fasten off.
