How to Use FeedBurner With WordPress

FeedBurner is an RSS feed manager that makes it easier for you to share you RSS feed address with others. It also makes it easier to manage your feed subscribers and view your stats, as the WordPress dashboard does not inherently have such a feature. Setting up FeedBurner to take over your site's RSS feed is free, and takes less than 10 minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Sign in to your WordPress site, then click on "Settings" and "Reading."

    • 2

Choose how you want your default feed to display -- "Full Post" or "Summary." Click on "Save Changes."

    • 3

Visit the FeedBurner site and sign in with your account. If you don't yet have a FeedBurner account, create one now.

    • 4

Type your WordPress feed address into the "Type your blog or feed address here" box. The default feed address is "http://yoursite.com/feed." If you've set up a custom feed address, use it instead, then click "Next."

    • 5

Give your feed a custom name on the confirmation page. Your feed is now accessible at "http://feeds.feedburner.com/custom-name."
