How to Remove a SugarCRM Footer

Save

The SugarCRM Web design tool offers a host of options to allow programmers to build and design a professional-looking website. Every SugarCRM website comes with a footer that says "Powered by SugarCRM." There is no option in the graphic user interface to remove the SugarCRM footer, but the code itself includes a simple switch. This will delete the "Powered by SugarCRM" footer line on every page and leave the rest of the site as is.

  • Log in to your SugarCRM server and open the SugarCRM folder in your root directory.

  • Follow the following folder path from within the SugarCRM folder: include\mvc\view.

  • Open the file "sugarview.php" in a text editor. Many servers come with built-in editors, but you could also open it in Notepad.

  • Find the line "showfooter=>true".

  • Change "true" to "false."

  • Save the sugarview.php file on the server. The SugarCRM footer no longer appears.
