How to Transfer Photos From the BlackBerry Curve to an iPhone

Both the BlackBerry and the iPhone have the ability to save photos and images. The BlackBerry works with BlackBerry Desktop Manager software and the iPhone works with iTunes to sync photos to and from the respective devices. This is a straightforward process and the amount of time it takes depends on the amount of photos that you want to transfer. Both the BlackBerry and the iPhone come with USB cables that connect to a computer.

  • Plug one end of the BlackBerry USB cable into the BlackBerry. Plug the other end into a USB port on the computer.

  • Click "Start" then click "All Programs." Click "BlackBerry Desktop Manager" to open the software. Click "Media Manager."

  • Click "Pictures" under "My Media" on the left side of the "Media Manager" window. Click the picture folders under "My Devices."

  • Select the pictures that you want to copy to the iPhone. Right-click and select "Copy" from the drop-down menu. Minimize the Desktop Manager window. Right-click on the computer desktop and select "Paste" from the drop-down menu. The images copy to the desktop.

  • Create a new folder and put the pictures into it. Close BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Disconnect the BlackBerry from the computer.

  • Plug the iPhone cable into the iPhone. Connect the other end into the computer. ITunes opens automatically.

  • Click "Devices," then click on the iPhone. Click the "Photos" tab.

  • Check the box next to "Sync Photos From." Click the drop-down menu and select the desktop pictures folder containing the BlackBerry files.

  • Click "Sync." The images upload and sync to the iPhone. Disconnect the iPhone from the computer.
