Instructions for the DLink DPR-1260
The DPR-1260, made by D-Link, is a print server used to print documents wirelessly. The device is compatible with with over 100 different printer models, and also allows for wireless scanning when used with a multifunction printer. Four individual USB ports on the back of the device allow for simultaneous connectivity to multiple printers, making printing more than one job at the same time an efficient option.

Connect one end of an Ethernet cable to the "LAN" connection jack on the print server's back panel; attach the other end of the cable to your computer. The Ethernet cable is necessary for initial setup. Once configured, disconnect the cable to use the wireless function of the DPR-1260.

Attach the external power supply cord to the input jack located on the back of the device, then connect it to a power outlet. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the DPR-1260 to the printer you would like to use. Place one end of the cable in the USB port of the device, and the opposite end into the USB port on the printer.

Open an Internet browser on your computer and type "http://dlinkps-XXXXXX" ( without quotes) into the address bar, with the "Xs" representing the last six digits of the series of numbers found on the bottom of your DPR-1260. Then hit enter.

Click on the "Setup" tab, then click "Wireless Settings" on the left side of the screen. Leave the password box empty at the prompt. Click the "On" radio button next to the "Wireless On/Off" text, then select the name of your existing wireless network from the drop-down menu adjacent to the "Wireless Network" text.

Click the radio button adjacent to "None" to select an open security setting. If your wireless system is password protected, click the radio button next to "WEP." Click "Save" to update the settings and remove the Ethernet cable. The DPR-1260 is now ready for use.
