How to Make a Bead Organizer
Bead organizers help you separate your bead collection, which is especially useful if your beads are small. Having an organized collection will make crafting easier and quicker. You can purchase premade bead organizers, but it is less expensive to make your own out of clean yogurt cups. This method is also a way to recycle used yogurt cups. The cups provide a separate space for each bead color or type and you can stack them in a clear plastic container for easy storage.

1
Insert one of the points of your scissors through the first yogurt cup at the bottom of the barcode on the side. Cut the bottom of the yogurt cup off at this point and repeat with each cup until you have as many cups as types of beads in your collection.
-
2
Discard the tops. You will be left with cups about 1 1/2 inches tall.
-
-
3
Press a strip of clear tape onto the outside rim of the cups. Half the tape should sit above the rim. Make vertical cuts in the tape that sits above the rim, 1/2 inch apart. Fold the tape down over the rim.
-
4
Hold the cup up to a light source. You will see the shadows of stacking darts on the bottom of the cup. Use a marker to make a mark on the tape that corresponds to the location of the darts. Use the scissors to cut 1/4 inch wedges at each mark.
-
5
Fill each cup with a different bead. Write the color, size or type of bead on the outside of the cup.
-
6
Set the cups in the bottom of a 6-to-10 inch tall plastic storage container. Stack the cups on top of each other by setting the darts on the bottom of one cup into the notches on the top of another cup. Use more than one plastic container, if necessary.
