How to Install SSD in a ThinkPad W500
A SATA SSD (Solid State Drive) hard drive allows you to transfer data between the drive and the computer faster than a standard hard disk drive. This is because the ribbon cable that attaches to the drive allows for faster data transfer than a standard hard drive connector. SATA SSD drives can be installed in laptop computers, including the Lenovo ThinkPad W500. The drive is accessible via a compartment on the exterior of the computer, so the upgrade process won't take longer than a few minutes.
