How to Convert Max to Maya
Maya and 3ds Max and are two highly advanced 3D modeling and animation programs developed by Autodesk. While both programs perform similar actions and are developed by the same company, project files from one application cannot be opened in the other. Autodesk developed a file format known as FBX that acts as a conversion tool for exporting and importing files between the two programs. In order to read this conversion file, both Maya and 3ds Max need to be updated with an FBX plug-in.
