How to Make Leather Bracelets With Sliding Knots
Many different types of jewelry can be made at home. Children as well as adults can create and assemble attractive and eye-catching necklaces, earrings and bracelets from a variety of materials. Leather bracelets are popular with many people and make interesting and often unique additions to a wardrobe. Making leather bracelets is a fun project for individuals and groups and is fairly easy with the use of a knot that allows you to adjust the size of the bracelet by sliding the ends back and forth.

1
Wrap a small-diameter leather strip around your wrist. Hold the point where the leather overlaps itself.
-
2
Lay the leather strip on a flat work surface. Add an extra 6 inches to the measured length. Cut the leather with a pair of scissors.
-
-
3
Slide beads of your choice onto the leather at this point. Almost any beads will work -- plastic, metal, stone, glass -- based on personal preference and overall theme.
-
4
Form a circle on the work surface with the leather. Overlap the ends by 3 inches.
-
5
Tie a simple overhand knot in one end of the leather strip. Form the knot so it passes around the main leather loop.
-
6
Tie an overhand knot in the other end of the leather strip. Once again, form the knot so it passes around the main leather loop
