1
Measure the width of your ceiling and write it down. Purchase garlands that are around 50 percent longer than this width, because the garlands will need to hang downwards, creating graceful curves from the ceiling

2
Stand on a step stool and attach hooks along one wall, 1 inch from the ceiling. Space the hooks exactly 12 inches apart. Repeat this on the opposite wall. Use screw-in hooks or self-adhesive hooks.

Attach one end of each garland to a hook on the wall. Walk each garland over to the opposite wall and attach it to the corresponding hook. This will create a draping effect from the ceiling.

Tips & Warnings
Most faux garlands have a loop on either end that you can easily loop onto the end of the hook. If for some reason the garlands you are using don't, you can attach the garlands using floral tape, or by wrapping a small piece of floral wire around the end of the garland and the hook.
