Using a mix of spices when cooking steak provides the opportunity to make a home-cooked meal that tastes like one from your favorite steakhouse. The spices can be purchased at your local grocery store, and the amounts of each can be varied to fit your individual taste.   • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • Dash of coriander
  • Dash turmeric

Instructions

      Mix the salt, paprika, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne, coriander and turmeric together in a small bowl.

      Sprinkle the spice blend onto each side of a cut of steak, using your fingers to rub the seasoning into the meat.

      Grill the steaks on the grill or in a frying pan, using a medium-high heat. Add additional spice mix when turning the meat during cooking, to sear the spices and create a crusted coating. Cook until the meat reaches the desired temperature.
