How to Make Your Bra Strap Tight

How to Make Your Bra Strap Tight thumbnail
Tighten bra straps to keep them from slipping.

Over time, your bra will adjust as a result of everyday wear and washing. Tasks as simple as exercising or taking the bra off can loosen the straps and change the way the bra fits. If you ever put it on and feel like it's not right, try tightening the straps before you head to the nearest lingerie store. Not only will you save money, you'll also acquire a new skill and never have to worry about loose bra straps again.

Instructions

    • 1

Locate the plastic bra strap adjusters on one or both bra straps. If you're wearing the bra, the adjusters likely will be at the back and possibly difficult to reach. Instead, take the bra off so that you can see the adjusters clearly.

    • 2

Use your index finger and thumb to grab the adjuster. You should have one finger on the left side of the strap and the other on the right.

    • 3

Slide the adjuster so that the bra strap gets tighter. Make sure you can lift your arms up and extend them out in front of you comfortably. When you're satisfied, simply let go of the adjuster and wear your bra as you normally would.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you're constantly tightening your bra straps, consider getting resized. It's possible that you need a smaller cup size.
