How to Make a Transparent Image on Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9
All computer images have square corners. This can be limiting in graphic design if you want to create a rounded image, because a large portion of the image would consist of unused space. Transparent images resolve this issue; although the image remains rectangular, the background becomes invisible. Create a new image in Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 and give it a transparent background to create a transparent image.

Launch Paint Shop Pro 9, click "File" in the upper-left corner of the screen, then click "New."

Enter the desired dimensions of the image in pixels, inches, centimeters or millimeters using the "Width," "Height" and "Units" fields at the top of the window.

Click the "Color Depth" drop-down menu and select the number of colors that you want the image to contain.

Click the "Transparent" check box.
