Instructions

    • 1

Find a strong overhead beam on your deck, porch or patio. Measure the toggle bolt for your hammock chair and drill a pilot hole sized to fit that bolt.

    • 2

Shut the arms on the toggle bolt. Insert the toggle bolt into the pilot hole until you hear it click into place.

    • 3

Attach an S-hook to the toggle bolt. Attach another S-hook to the eye on the mounting hook for the hammock chair.

    • 4

Measure the distance from the post where you are hanging the hammock chair to the ground. Measure up from the ground and determine the optimal height of the hammock chair when seated. Measure the height of the hammock chair and use that to calculate the length of chain needed. For instance, if there is 10 feet of space between the hanging post and the ground, you want the hammock chair to hang 2 feet off the ground and the hammock is 3 feet high, you would need a chain 5 feet long.

Cut a chain to the proper length, or buy a length of chain already cut. It is a good idea to buy a chain slightly longer than you think you will need. This allows you to adjust the chain by changing the link you put the hook through.

Attach one end of the chain or rope to the S-hook on the toggle bolt. Attach the other end of the S-hook to the hanging bar on the hammock chair
