Crochet the Body
-
1
Make three chain stitches using your size G crochet hook and worsted weight yarn; join them with a slip stitch to form a circle. Chain one and make five single crochet stitches inside the circle, then join with a slip stitch to close.
-
2
Increase the base of the bunny's body. For round two, chain one and make two single crochets in every stitch around, then join with a slip stitch. For round three, chain one and make one single crochet in the first stitch followed by two single crochets in the next stitch; alternate this pattern around for a total of 15 single crochet stitches. Join with a slip stitch.

3
Create the height of the bunny. For round four, chain one and make one single crochet stitch in the front loops only of every stitch around. Join with a slip stitch, then for round five chin one and make one single crochet in both loops of every stitch around and join with another slip stitch. Repeat round five for a total of 10 more rounds.
-
4
Decrease for the bunny's head. For the next round, chain one and work one single crochet in the first stitch, then single crochet two together over the next two stitches. Repeat this pattern around for a total of 10 stitches, then join with a slip stitch. For the following round, chain one and single crochet two together all the way around for a total of five single crochet stitches.
-
5
Stuff the bunny's body. Use your finger or your crochet hook to push fiberfill or other stuffing material down through the hole in the top of the bunny's head. Fill the bunny with stuffing until it is full enough to hold its shape.
-
6
Cut the working yarn with scissors, leaving a 6-inch tail. Thread this tail onto an embroidery needle and pull the tail tightly to close the hole in the bunny's head. Weave the tail over and around the hole to secure it and then pull the tail into the bunny's body to hide it.
Finish the Bunny
-
7
Crochet the bunny's ears. To do this, make four chain stitches; single crochet in the second chain from the hook and in each chain across. Chain one and turn, then single crochet across the row. Repeat this row until the ear measures half the height of the bunny's body, then make a slip stitch, cut the working yarn and pull it through the stitch.
-
8
Repeat step 1 to make a second ear for the bunny.
-
9
Make a small pom pom with scraps of white yarn. To do this, wrap the yarn around your index finger - gently so you don't cut off the circulation - 10 times. Slide the loops of yarn off your finger and tie another length of yarn around the middle of the loops to hold them together like a bow. Cut the looped ends and trim them to make a pom pom.
-
10
Sew the pom pom onto the backside of the bunny using an embroidery needle and the spare yarn tails from tying the pom pom. Sew the bunny's ears to the top of his head.
-
11
Thread some spare yarn onto an embroidery needle and use it to embroider a triangle on the bunny's face for his nose, then circles for his eyes and a smiling mouth.
