How to Instal VIP222K

The VIP 222K, a satellite set-top receiver box from the DISH Network, is user-friendly and straightforward to set up. Even if you don't have a great understanding of electrical equipment or television systems, you shouldn't have too many problems getting your box installed and running. Once you've done so, you can take advantage of watching one satellite channel while recording another at the same time.
Step 1
Connect one end of a coaxial cable to the satellite socket on your wall, and the other to the "In" port on the signal separator.
Step 2
Connect one coaxial cable to each of the two "Out" ports on the separator and plug the other ends into the two "Satellite in" ports on the back of your receiver.
Step 3
Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the "HDMI out" port at the back of the receiver and plug the other end into the "HDMI in" port at the back of your television. If your television is not HDMI-compatible, you will have to use component cables.
Step 4
Connect one end of a phone line cable to a phone socket on your wall, and the other to the "Phone" in port at the back of the receiver. You can also connect the receiver to a broadband modem using an Ethernet cable. Although your receiver will work without being connected to a phone line or the Internet, DISH Network recommends it should stay connected to keep critical receiver data current and access pay-per-view content.
Step 5
Plug all of your equipment into a power supply and select your satellite's input using your TV's remote control. The method for doing so will depend on the make and model of your television.
