How to Turn on Closed Caption on a Comcast RNG110 Box

Found This Helpful

Comcast customers require a cable box to receive the digital television signal. There are several different models that Comcast provides to its TV customers, one of which is the Pace RNG110 High-Definition Television (HDTV) cable box. This device provides HD service for HDTVs. While these TVs come with their own built-in closed captioning, sometimes this does not work. However, the RNH110 box comes with a closed caption feature itself that can be turned on in a few minutes.

  1. Press the "Power" button on your Comcast remote to turn off the green "Power" light on your RNG100 box. This is done with your TV still on.

  2. Press the "Menu" button on your Comcast remote. The User Settings menu will appear on your TV screen.

  3. Press the down arrow on your remote until you highlight "Closed Captions" in the menu.

  4. Press the right arrow on your remote. The Closed Captions menu will appear.

  5. Press the "OK/Select" button on your remote to change the closed captions setting to "On."

  6. Press the left arrow on your remote to return to the User Settings menu, then press the "Power" button on your remote to return to normal viewing.
