How to Use Blambot With InDesign
Blambot is a type foundry that produces many fonts for comic books and comic strips. Blambot's fonts can be purchased and downloaded to your computer for use with the Adobe InDesign CS3 through CS5 versions. InDesign is a professional desktop publishing application used to lay out text and images for books, magazines and comics. If you would like to use Blambot fonts for your publication in InDesign, you will need to install the font to your computer.

Download the Blambot font and install it on your computer.
For Microsoft Windows XP, click the "Control Panel" in the "Start" menu. Open the "Fonts" folder and select "Install New Font" from the "File" menu. Navigate to and select the Blambot font, and then click the "OK" button.
For Microsoft Windows Vista and Windows 7, right-click the Blambot font and select "Install."
For Mac OS X, open a "Finder" window by double-clicking the hard drive symbol on the desktop. Open your hard drive in the "Finder" window and double-click the "Library" folder. Double-click the "Fonts" folder in the "Library" folder and drag the Blambot font into the folder.

Open Adobe InDesign. Select "Open" in the "File" menu. Select your InDesign document, and then press the "Open" button. If you do not have an InDesign document, select "New" in the "File" menu to create a new document.

Select the "Layers" panel and click the "Create New Layer" button at the bottom of the panel; the new layer will be active and editable.

Select the "Text" tool from the toolbar or press the "T" key on your keyboard. Click and drag a field for the text in the page spread window.

Select the Blambot font from the "Font" flyout menu under the "Type" menu or from the "Font" flyout menu in the "Character" panel.

Type the text; the text will be in the Blambot font. Adjust the text with the "Font Size," "Leading," "Kerning" and "Tracking" fields in the "Character" panel.

Tips & Warnings
If you are creating a comic book or comic strip, ensure the images are on a layer below your Blambot text layer. Otherwise, the images may occlude the text.
Use the "Rotate" tool on the toolbar to rotate your text for a dynamic effect.
