How to Convert AVI Files to iTunes

If you want to transfer your AVI files to your iPod or iPhone or watch them in iTunes, you can convert the files to a compatible format. ITunes allows you to import video files that are in MP4 and Quicktime formats. To convert your AVI files to a supported format, use a third-party video conversion program. Depending on the program you choose, you may be able to convert more than one AVI file to Quicktime or MP4 at the same time.

Using Convert AVI to MP4

1. Download and install Convert AVI to MP4. When the installation process is complete, open the program.

2. Click the "Open" button in the "AVI Video" pane and import the AVI file you want to convert.

3. Click the "Save as" button and select the folder you want to use to store your converted file.

4. Click the "Convert" button. When the process is complete, your MP4 file will be saved to your chosen folder.

Using AVI to MP4 Converter

1. Download and install AVI to MP4 Converter. Open the video conversion program when the installation process is complete.

2. Click the "+" button on the right side of the screen and select the AVI files you want to import to the video conversion program.

3. Select a video quality from the drop-down menu in the bottom-left corner of the screen. If you want to change the resolution of your converted video, select the "Custom" option and select a new resolution.

4. Click the "..." button and select a destination folder for your converted files.

5. Click "Convert" to convert your AVI files to MP4 format.

Using Xilisoft AVI to MOV Converter

1. Download and install Xilisoft AVI to MOV Converter. Launch the program when the installation process is complete.

2. Click the "File" tab and select the "Add Files" option. Navigate through your folders and select each AVI file you want to convert.

3. Use the "Video Size" drop-down menu to customize the size of your videos. Depending on your preference, you can also select a custom audio and video quality.

4. Click the "Browse" button and select a destination folder for your converted files.

5. Click the "Convert Checked Items" icon on the toolbar to convert your AVI files to Quicktime format.
