Fostoria glass is crystalware created by the Fostoria Glass Company from 1886 to 1986. The Fostoria Glass Company started in Ohio and moved to West Virginia; they were the first American glass company to advertise in magazines. They were also the longest running glass company in the U.S. While Fostoria glass isn't superior to other glass companies of the time, it was often purchased due to the selection of colors and the popular designs. Since the Fostoria crystal was quite popular in its day, replacing a broken piece in a Fostoria glass set is simple.
