How to Apply a Tape Weft Extension

Tape weft hair extensions, also known as skin weft hair extensions, are a type of hair extension with a double-sided adhesive strip that you apply to natural hair. Not only are they less expensive than other types of hair extensions, they are also easy to use and only take about an hour to apply. Tape weft hair extensions add volume and length to your natural hair, and have the look and feel of natural hair as well.

Things You'll Need

• Comb
• Hair clips

Instructions

1. Part your hair into horizontal sections where you wish to apply the hair extensions using a comb and hair clips.

2. Peel off the white strips from the double-sided adhesive tape, then press it against one of the sections of hair as close to the scalp as possible. Avoid letting the tape touch the scalp.

3. Press the very top part of the hair extension against the adhesive tape. Do not apply the hair extension directly to the scalp.

4. Apply the hair extensions in this way until you have achieved your desired look.
