How to Type in Chinese on a Samsung I680

Use Chinese characters to communicate with friends and family.

The Samsung A680 is a flip phone. It comes with a camcorder, digital camera and antenna for better reception. With this phone, you have the ability to send and receive text messages. If you have a friend or family member that is Chinese, you may want to send him or her a message in Chinese. Your Samsung A680 makes it possible for you to type in Chinese.

Instructions

1. Press the "MENU" button on your Samsung A680. Navigate to "Text Messages" or "PCS Mail."

2. Click the option for "New Message." Press the "MENU" button once more to select the character mode.

3. Click on "Symbol" mode from the list of character modes. This lets you enter Chinese symbols into the message.

4. Enter the message in the "Compose" field. Verify it is correct. Press "Send" when satisfied.
