How to Get a Costco Card

Costco stores are nationwide retail stores that sell items in bulk. You can purchase anything from jewelry to tires to groceries at Costco stores, but you must have a Costco membership to shop in any Costco stores. Membership comes with annual fees; with your membership you receive a Costco card which you must present upon entering the store. Signing up is easy; you can do it online or in person.

Instructions

1. Click on the "Membership" link on the homepage of the Costco website. View the available Costco memberships: Executive Membership, Business Membership and Gold Star Membership and click on the "Sign Up Today" link for the membership level you want to sign up for.

2. Press "Add to Cart" to purchase your Costco Membership. Locate the "New Registration" section and enter your email address and create a password. Click "Register."

3. View the membership in your cart to ensure you are purchasing the correct membership. Enter your personal information, including your name and address, contact information and your credit card number to purchase your Costco membership.

4. Click "Confirm" to confirm your purchase. Print your receipt and take it to your local Costco to have your photo taken and your card issued.

Tips & Warnings

• Visit the customer service desk at any Costco store to register for membership; you must present your driver license or photo identification to receive your membership.
