Moby Wrap Instructions

Moby Wrap Instructions thumbnail
The Moby Wrap helps to soothe fussy babies.

The Moby Wrap provides parents and caretakers the ability to carry a baby while having both hands free to work with. The wrap is one long sturdy piece of fabric that provides back and shoulder support to the wearer; there are no buckles, snaps, or fasteners. Wrapping babies can be very beneficial, allowing skin-to-skin contact, or upright positions for babies with gas or reflux.

Instructions

    • 1

Place the tag of the Moby Wrap on your belly button. Ensure both sides are untangled.

    • 2

Bring one side around your back to cross the opposite shoulder. Do the same with the other side to make an "X" on your back.

    • 3

Bring the two ends under and through the part you have wrapped around your waist. Cross the ends to make another "X", this time on your chest. A higher X will position the baby higher, and a lower "X" will position the baby lower.

    • 4

Take the ends of the wrap and bring them around to your back once again. You can tie it at your back, side or bring it around to the front again in a knot.

    • 5

Place your baby inside of the Moby Wrap in one of the baby holds you and your baby prefer.

Tips & Warnings

  • If it seems your baby doesn't like the wrap, take the baby out and try again later.

  • Remember to do a safety check: ensure baby's nose and mouth are visible, reposition baby if breathing is abnormal and be sure there is enough room between baby's chin and chest (a space of two fingers should be your guideline).
