The iPhone is an indispensable tool for any small business owner or entrepreneur. It allows the user to switch between texting, email and Web browsing at lightning fast speed. Instead of having to call a client or business partner and read a URL over the phone or send an email message with an embedded link, you can simply text it in an SMS message. Your iPhone will automatically turn the URL into a hyperlink, which the recipient can open on his smartphone.

Step 1

Navigate to the "Messages" folder on your iPhone's home screen and tap on the folder to open it.

Step 2

Tap the "New Message" icon at the top right of the screen. A blank message will open.

Step 3

Begin typing the name of your recipient in the "To:" section of the message. If the person's contact information is saved on your phone, it will appear in a drop-down menu; if not, finish typing the recipient's name and phone number, ensuring that you enter it correctly. If you want to send the message to multiple users, continue adding recipients and phone numbers to this section.

Step 4

Navigate to the text entry field at the middle of the screen, just above the keypad. Type the URL you wish to send as a hyperlink. Type the entire address, including "http://" and "www."

Step 5

Tap the "Space" key after you've entered the URL to turn it into a hyperlink.

Step 6

Add any other text or attachments to the message. Tap the "Send" key to send your message.
