Use a hand towel to create a medium-sized rabbit.

Towel folding stems from the Japanese paper folding art form, origami. It has been popularized by various cruise lines. Room stewards make towel creations and leave them in your room, giving you a warm welcome. You can make a variety of characters with a towel such as a turtle, seal, stingray and a swan. A rabbit is a easy towel creation you can make for your next houseguest. Show your gracious hospitality by placing it on their pillow with chocolates.

Instructions

    • 1

      Lay the towel flat.

    • 2

Roll the towel tightly at a diagonal from one corner to the other.

    • 3

Bend the rolled towel into a U-shape, making sure the ends are even.

    • 4

Hold the ends and the middle of the towel roll together with your fingers and bend backwards. This creates the head and neck of the rabbit. The ends of the towel roll create the ears.

    • 5

Tightly wind the rubber bands around the neck of the rabbit.

Tips & Warnings

  • Tie a ribbon around the rubber band to add a finishing touch to your creation.

  • Glue google eyes to the face and a pom-pom to the back for a tail. Fill the body with chocolates and give as a gift.

  • Try using a washcloth to create a small rabbit or use a bath towel to create a large rabbit.
