Instructions

  1. Butterfly

    • 1

Cut the apple in half and cut the core out from the center.

    • 2

Thinly slice the apple into three slim wedges. Toss the wedges with lemon juice to prevent browning.

    • 3

Peel and cut a banana in half lengthwise, and sprinkle lemon juice over the banana.

    • 4

Place half the banana, cut side down onto a plate for the body of the butterfly.

    • 5

Arrange each half of the apple on either side of the length of the banana with the corners of the apple slices against the banana to resemble butterfly wings.

    • 6

Cut the red grapes in half and place each half on top of each of the apple slices to create spots on the butterfly wings.

    Frog

    • 7

Core and quarter the apple and cut a slim wedge out of the skin on one quarter of the apple for the frog's mouth. Set aside the other three quarters for another use.

    • 8

Place the apple quarter with the cut-out wedge facing you on a plate.

Dab cream cheese on one narrow end and along the length of each miniature marshmallow.

    • 9

Press a raisin into the cream cheese along the length of each marshmallow.

    • 10

Push the cream cheese-covered narrow end of the two marshmallows onto the top cut edge above the mouth of the apple quarter to make the two eyes of the frog.

    • 11

Attach two whole green grapes with cream cheese to each end of the apple wedge for the bent portion of the frog's legs. Cut one green grapes in quarters. Cut four notches into the rounded end of two of the quarters for toes. Place the feet of the frog at the base of the two whole green grapes.
