How to Catch Latios Without Going to Mirage Island in "Pokemon: Emerald" for the Game Boy Advance
Latios is one of the two roaming legendary Pokemon in "Pokemon Emerald." Latios is a Psychic/Dragon-type Pokemon and can be accessed by downloading a special item from a Nintendo event. As Nintendo no longer conducts these events, the only way to obtain Latios now is by using an Action Replay device. Using the Action Replay, you simply enter a code that will make Latios appear in the wild, at which point you can catch it.

Push the "Pokemon: Emerald" cartridge into the Action Replay and insert the Action Replay into the Game Boy Advance. Turn the Game Boy Advance on and press "Start" to get to the code screen. Enter the following code at the Action Replay code screen:

Start the game by pressing "Start."

Select the save file and press "Start" to begin.

Walk around in any patch of grass to encounter Latios.

Use a Dragon-type or Dark-type Pokemon to weaken Latios. Once you have its health in the red, throw a Pokeball at it to capture it.
