Be romantic. You can almost never go wrong with a romantic gesture. She will be thrilled, especially if you are not usually the romantic type. Send her flowers at her work "just because," and she'll be the talk of the office. Surprise her with a home-cooked, candlelight dinner. Write her a love letter. Take her to the romantic comedy she wanted to see even if you hate that type of movie. Whisk her away to a cozy bed and breakfast for the weekend after a stressful week. Run her a bubble bath or be her personal masseuse.

Help her in her everyday tasks. One of the nicest things you can do for your girlfriend is helping her with even a small task. Have coffee ready in the morning before she leaves for work. Go grocery shopping for her if her refrigerator is empty. Change the oil in her car so she doesn't have to take it to the shop. If you get off work before she does, walk her dog so she can just relax when she gets home. Do any handyman work around the house that needs to be done without having her ask you to do it.
