How to Learn the States and Capitals Fast With Music
There are certain aspects of your general education that you will just have to learn by memorization. For example, the alphabet was something that you simply memorized at the start of your education and you most likely have never forgotten it. Your multiplication tables are something else that you had to master. Knowing the names of all the states and their capitals is something else that, as an American, you should know. However, this task of memorizing should not be long and tedious, rather you can learn the names of the states and capitals easily and simply by using music.

1
Visit websites that have free music and written songs about the states and their capitals dedicated to helping students learn this. While none of these songs or the accompanying music are particularly catchy, they will help you learn all the states and their capitals. Try websites such as "Mrs Jones Room" or "Educational Rap." Other websites offer downloadable songs for a fee.

Listen to the song every day. Pretend it is a song you naturally want to hear. As you listen, sing along with the words. Repeat this at least five times every hour, for at least two or three days.

Recite the states and their capitals on the third or fourth day without the help of the song. Note down any cities or states that you have trouble with or forget completely. Listen to the song again, singing along to help remind yourself. Repeat this step until you can recite all the states and their capitals on your own.
