How to Get People to Install My App on Facebook
When you register an application that you built using Facebook technology in your Facebook developer account, Facebook automatically creates a fan page for your application. To that fan page you can add pictures and details and then "Suggest" the page to users of your application to allow them to interact with you directly. The fan page is also central to increasing the number of users who install and use your app.

1
Log into Facebook, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Developers." Click "My Apps" and then click the name of the application you want people to install.
-
2
Click "Application Page." Input details and upload a profile picture if you haven't already done so. If users and potential users arrive at a blank page, it confuses and alienates them.

3
Click the "Suggest to Friends" button to suggest that friends of yours "Like" the application page -- and hopefully spread the message to members of their networks. Click the name or profile picture of each friend to whom you want to suggest the app, then click "Recommend."
-
4
Double-click your mouse inside the browser "Address Bar," right-click and click "Copy." Click the Facebook logo to return to your main news feed. Click the "Link" button above the status update field. Right-click within the field and click "Paste." Click "Attach." Type a message explaining your application -- and why others should install it -- into the blank field, then click "Share" to share a link to your application page with your entire social network.
-
5
Use a Facebook ad to promote your app. Click "My Apps" and then the name of your application. Click the "Advanced" tab of the "Edit Settings" menu and input the email address of your Facebook ads account into the "Advertising Accounts" field. Click "Save," then scroll down to the bottom of Facebook, click "Advertising" and click "Create an Ad."
-
6
Promote your application's page using non-Facebook social networks, such as Twitter. Post a link to your application's page, alongside a short description of what the app entails, in an update on another social network.
