How to Get Politoed in "Pokemon Platinum"
In the "Pokemon" series, Politoed is a toad-like creature with a green swirl on its stomach. During battle, Politoed uses status impairment moves, such as Hypnosis and Swagger, and direct attacks, such as Bounce and Bubblebeam, to defeat its enemies. In addition, as a Water-type Pokemon, Politoed is partially resistant to Steel, Fire, Water and Ice-type attacks. To get Politoed in "Pokemon Platinum," you must capture a Poliwhirl, equip it with a King's Rock item and trade it to the different game file.

Tips & Warnings
On rare occasions, wild Poliwhirl will already be holding a King's Rock.
Aside from evolutionary purposes, the King's Rock may cause your opponents to flinch, missing a turn during battle.
Politoed doesn't learn many attacks, so make sure that Poliwhirl has learned all the moves you desire before evolving it.
If exposed to a Water Stone, Poliwhirl will evolve into Poliwrath, a Water and Fighting-type, instead of Politoed. Poliwrath possesses higher physical strength and defense; however, Politoed excels in special attack and special defense abilities.
