Forwarding your Hotmail inbox helps to ensure you do not miss any important messages if you are not in the habit of checking the email account daily. When messages are forwarded to your other email account, it will appear in your other email account's inbox. You cannot forward junk mail messages to another email address. The forwarding feature is free to use. You can activate it at any time by altering your Hotmail settings.

Instructions

1. Access your Hotmail account in a Web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox.

2. Click "Options" to view the settings for your email account.

3. Click "Hotmail" in the left-side panel to show options for the email account.

4. Click "Email Forwarding" under "Managing Your Account."

5. Click "Forward Your Mail to Another Email Account" radio button and enter the email address to which you want to forward your Hotmail inbox messages. Click "Save."
