How to Repair a Cordless Nailer
A cordless nailer is an electrical tool that can push nails into hard surfaces with the pull of a trigger. Cordless nailers are useful for large construction jobs because they can easily drive hundreds of nails into wood or other surfaces. Your cordless nailer may need repair if it is jammed, has a dirty air filter, or has a dirty charger. Repair your tool by clearing any jammed nails, cleaning the air filter and cleaning the charger. Clear a jammed nail. Remove the battery pack from your cordless nailer and engage the Contact Trip Lock-Off switch to make sure the nailer cannot turn on while you are working on it. Press in the nail pusher latch and pull the magazine toward the back of your nailer.

Angle the magazine upwards until the nails slide out of it. Lift up the jam clearing latch and pull it up to open the front opening of your nailer. Take out the bent nail using pliers. Insert a rod or screwdriver into the nose piece of your nailer to push the driver blade back in its place if it is in a downward position.

Close the front opening of the nailer securely. Put the battery pack back in and insert nails into the magazine. Push the magazine closed and lock it into position. Disengage the Contact Trip Lock-Off switch.

Clean the air filter. Press slightly on the cover located over the adapter to open the grille and swing the cover open. Take the air filter out. To dislodge the dust particles, give the filter a light tap. Clean the filter with soap and water.

Clean the charger for your nailer. Unplug the charger from the AC outlet. Remove grease and dirt with a cloth or soft non-metallic brush. Clean plastic parts with a damp cloth.

Tips & Warnings
Disconnect the battery from the cordless nailer before performing any repairs or maintenance on it.
Some household cleaners contain chemicals that can damage the plastic parts of your nailer.
Do not allow liquid to get inside your cordless nailer.
