How to Clean Portraits on Canvas
Canvas is often a preferred method of displaying special portraits because it tends to last longer, look more professional and offer an artistic appeal. The pictures are actually pressed on the canvas rather than created with inks such as with photo-print paper. Use a smooth cloth to wipe the dust from the canvas.

Remove dust from creases and corners of the portrait by using the attachments that came with your vacuum.

Roll over the canvas with a lint roller to remove any remaining dust or particles that may have been left behind by the other methods of cleaning.
Deep Cleaning

Take the canvas out of any frame.

Dampen a soft cloth with warm soapy water. Use a mild soap and wring the cloth out well to remove excess water.

Wipe the canvas down to wash away dust, dirt and any marks.

Allow the canvas portrait to completely dry before replacing it in its frame.
