How to Tie a Knot in My Yarn That Will Stay
A knot that will not come loose can be an important detail when you work on a project. When you work with yarn, whether knitting, crocheting, weaving or quilting, you may need to join two yarn strands securely. Tie a simple, effective knot called a weaver's knot. A weaver's knot will hold even slippery, synthetic yarns tight.

1
Make a slip knot with one length of yarn about 2 inches from the end of the yarn.
-
2
Insert the end of the other length of yarn through the center of the slip knot, extending the end through the slip knot about 2 inches.
-
-
3
Hold one end of the first length of yarn (the slip knot yarn) in each hand and pull the ends of the yarn so the slip knot tightens around the second length of yarn. Continue pulling until the slip knot closes tightly around the yarn.
-
4
Clip off the tails from the yarn, if you desire. If you are knitting or crocheting, you can also weave in the ends after you finish your project.
