How to Put Together Muzzy Broadheads

How to Put Together Muzzy Broadheads thumbnail
Muzzy broadheads have replacable blades.

Muzzy broadheads use three sharp blades to kill large game animals. The broadheads are compatible with threaded arrow shafts and work well on compound and recurve bows. Installing the broadhead stem on the arrow and installing the blades is a simple process. The blades are also easily changed to maintain a new and sharp point on every hunt. Muzzy broadheads are well suited for deer, elk and moose hunts. The interchangeable blade system is the major attraction as the broadhead stem never requires replacement.

Instructions

    • 1

Align the base of the stem with the tip on the arrow shaft. Twist the stem clockwise to screw it on the arrow. Stop when the stem is snug. Wrap the wrench around the base of the stem and apply pressure to complete the connection.

    • 2

Slide the wide base of one blade in one of the slide slots on the stem. Repeat the process for the two remaining slots.

    • 3

Locate the broadhead tip in the packaging. Align the tip and screw it into the top of the stem. Wrap the wrench around the tip and apply pressure to completely tighten the tip.

    • 4

Apply pressure to the sides of each blade with your index finger. The blades will not wiggle or move when properly installed. Repeat the wrenching process on the tip if the blades are loose.

Tips & Warnings

  • Designate separate sets of blades for practice and hunting. Store the blades in separate containers to prevent hunting with dull practice blades.

  • Do not grab the cutting end of the blades. The blades are extremely sharp and easily penetrate skin.
