How to Make the End of a Friendship Bracelet
Friendship bracelets come in all styles, colors and designs. Add knots and beads along the bracelet to make it the size you desire. After you finish creating the piece, make the end of a friendship bracelet with a simple process that adds a cute touch. Choose a novelty button that complements the design and use it at the end of the bracelet to keep it clasped.
Things You'll Need
- Crochet cotton (size 10)
- Tape measure
- Scissors
- Beads (optional)
- 4-hole novelty button (1/2-inch diameter)
Instructions

1
Cut two lengths of the crochet cotton, each about 25 inches long. Fold the two lengths in half and tie an overhand knot with all four strands about 1/2 inch from the folded end to make a loop.
-
2
Create the friendship bracelet design using knots and beads along the length of the strands. Continue making the design until you make the bracelet as long as necessary to go comfortably around your wrist.
-
-
3
Tie the four strands together in another overhand knot at the point where the bracelet encircles your wrist.
-
4
Insert two strands through one hole of the button and the other two strands through the hole straight across from the first hole. Insert the strands back down through each remaining hole and pull the strands tight so the button sits just beyond the knot.
-
5
Tie the strands together in a double knot beneath the button. Cut off the excess strands on the other side of the knot.
-
6
Clasp the bracelet around your wrist by inserting the button through the loop.
